Fairfield Pizzeria

The pizza was to be ready at 4 pm. I was there at 4 pm. I had to wait 10 minutes for the pizza to come out of the oven. This means the pizza came out of the oven at 4:10. There were a total of 5 people including me waiting on their orders. These other four people were not smiling. I was not smiling either. Two people were able to sit down on a bench. The other three of us were standing leaning up against the walls and the coolers while we were waiting for our orders. Yes the pizza was hot. However I did not find the pizza as tasty has the two other pizza places in my neighborhood. The tomato sauce tasted like tomato paste without any other ingredients. The pizza crust was extremely chewy and greasy. The cheese was plentiful and tasty. I would have liked it better if the pepperoni was more cooked and crisp.

If the food wasn’t So delicious this place wouldn’t survive. The service is mediocre at best. They hardly ever have our order ready when they say they will. The last time I went I showed up later than requested because I anticipated they wouldn’t have it ready. When I walked in I waited about 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me then they couldn’t find our order. The manager assured me he would do it right then and it would be ready in 6 minutes and he comped part of our meal. I appreciated his honesty, his hustle and the discount. However, we ordered two sandwiches and only once I got home did I discover one was made wrong. Tonight we ordered again and I requested a sausage and banana pepper pizza and garlic bread with marinara sauce. Get home... pepperoni and banana pepper and no marinara sauce. Fairfield pizza is seriously delicious but they have let me down so many times.

Great local pizza joint. Very generous portions in a nice intimate atmosphere.
